How to make clip art faces-Part 1: Pretty girl face with braided hair decorated with flowers

The use of circles makes a face look very amiable. And, this picture isn't as complicated as it seems.
I have used MS Word to make this clip art. But, you can use any software of your choice.

Let's begin.

You will find all the shapes used in this picture in MS Word in this way:

Insert>>Shapes>>

Face

Select an oval.

To change the color of the oval, right click on the oval, you will find 'fill' and 'outline' options.

Choose any color of your choice. I have played around a lot with colors. I must insist that you do the same according to your tastes and requirements.

Hair

Here is how we use the ovals to assemble the hair.

Like this, also use ovals to complete the other side.

Flowers

Let us draw a single flower then we will copy and paste it again and again.

Start with a circle.
Then draw two more concentric circles of colors you like.

Now add the petals using the teardrop shape.

Use another color to draw an inner layer of the petal.

And, we will group these two small teardrops together.

Pressing ctrl key, left click on the two teardrops. >>
Right click>>

Group

Now, click on the petal, copy paste and complete the flower.

Leaf

Again use the teardrop shape. The leaf is just like a petal.

Now group all the shapes together.

Decorate the hair with flowers and leaves

Just copy and paste the flowers on the hair.

Use various sizes.

Eyes, nose, mouth

Create two ovals for the eyes.
Then overlap the brown oval on the white oval.
Then use three small circles for decorating the brown portion of the eye.

Then use the crescent moon shape for the eyebrows.

For the eyebrows, use the crescent moon shape.

Use a triangle for the nose.
A crescent moon shape forms the lips.

Use pink circles for the cheeks.

For the nose, use a darker shade than the skin.

Finally, the picture is ready.

I have also created a free coloring page for the same.

I am drawing a lot of simple faces these days so if you liked this tutorial, follow me for more.
