  Play around with the Beizer curves and nodes. You need any kind of wavy line.  Now complete the lines.  Complete the circles. Choose fill and stroke colours according to your choice.  Select the circle.  Now click on path>> object to path.  Make the leaves pointed at two ends.  Add another oval on top of the first one.  Copy and paste the two figures across the stem.  Make sure you enjoy the process. You have to play around with skewing the leaves and their sizes.  Make some flowers at the tips of the stems using circles. And, I created some soil using the polygon tool. Then I modified it from object to path. And, played around with nodes.  This is what the final svg looks like.  Don’t go for sophistication or awesome finishing touches.
