Mother Nature's anger gave me blisters this year

 Dear Diary,

This year, the summer had hit so hard and winter is not arriving. Winter means lazy days and comfy nights, reluctance to get out of bed. But, heat this year has taken a very good toll on my dermatological health as well.

The year started with January winter which is so welcome in my life. It was a proper cold weather. Then, summer started to arrive. It was so hot that I have spent so many sleepless nights, unable to eat, unable to sleep, taking baths over five times a day, keeping my clothes wet. All this did not even lead me to fever.

Baba said that an ac or a cooler needed to be installed in the month of April. April is mildly famous for his warmth but the second half of April was too uncomfortable. I had to spend my time on the roof of the house in the evenings gazing at the sky, unable to read anything besides Remadora fanfictions, that too occasionally.

One such evening, I told Krishna, ‘Please, give me rains’. And, he obliged. It was a very big thing because Baba had already ordered for an ac but so had so many others. So, it took too long to install the ac actually. But, Krishna obliged and gave me rains the very next day.

Oh! Dear diary, how it rained, it rained of love that season, of Krishna’s own endless love in endless drops of heavenly nectar. So, when the people did show up to install the ac, Krishna’s love still materialized as the rains that I had wished for.

The ac was not needed first but the heat resurfaced. So, there were evenings when I could not even survive without the ac. I spent all my time in a packed room cooled down by the ac. Baba would sleep there too making his bed on the floor. But, after sometime, I kept using the ac but Baba refused and began sleeping in the non-ac room.

And, I got so used to ac that I could barely survive without it. Baba also encouraged it but warned me not to get too used to it. As a result, the electricity bill sky-rocketed to 3000-4000 rupees for a couple of months or so. But, I assured Baba that the winters would bring bills that would fit and disappear in pockets.

Finally, one day, I returned from Patna and Baba turned the ac on though I did not really need it. And, I slept and rested. Then, I woke up to catch such a cold that I would just fall asleep and not be able to wake up. I also had severe pain in my stomach which mitigated after a doctor’s intervention.

Then, I stopped using the ac. Even when I went to Patna, I told Baba not to book the ac rooms in Vicky’s hotel. Finally, the ac is off and hibernating.

But, December has not brought about winters this time. On 2nd December, I could not sleep all night because I was feeling so hot. And, now I am sitting wearing just a kurti and a long skirt, just imagine that! I think the ac never went to  hibernate and is trying to clear my misconception, I must go and give it something to do lest it get bored and lazy.

And, about my dermatological problems, Diary, this is a post script. Then dermatological problems started off around Aug or so and escalated that all my inner thighs developed angry red and black blistery things. Even the hard skin around my private parts got so infected. Then the infection began to spread to the folds of my knees, then the region around my navel, my belly, below my breasts and even underarms. I had to resort to applying boroline and btex by November. And, they are yet to heal. They heal well when I empty two big dibbas of boroline in four days. Yes, the heat is unnatural and even when the pain and itching subsides in certain parts like knees, for instance, the dark color of rashes does not. The weather has burnt me and blisters take a long while to leave their marks. Such is the mercy and the wrath of Mother Nature.
