 Dwij bandhu- Children born of Brahmin parents but are not like Brahmins by action.

Dwij bandhu, stree, and shudra are not to get the shruti.

Dwij bandhu and not Dwij shatru. In kalyug, all the Brahmins are dwij bandhu and that is the rule of the kalyug.

Dwij means a bird or a Brahmin.

A bird is born twice- first from the egg then after hatching. Perhaps suffering to become stronger is synonymous with it.
