Bhakti devi ka udbhav

 

Bhagvaram sats that Bhakti devi originated in the Dravid Desh or South India. So after a few thousand years when Bhakti movement started in South India then it again travelled from Dravid desh to north India.

Again it had the gyanis and vairagis at her service. Mirabai is my favourite example forever.

There is the effect of Christianity in the Bhakti movement of medieval India, some Europeans have said. They say that the Bhakti movement started and ended spontaneously. May be it seems so to the Europeans who rely on sense perception only. 

The more I look at them, the more I realize that theirs is the classical mechanics. Ours is the quantum mechanics. The ocean washes ashore pebbles and shells but not pearls. Pearls though do exist inside it. Ours is the ocean and the shell and the pearl, their is only the shell.

Then the Muslims and their idea of a single god is said to have influenced our Bhakti movement. Poor ignorant souls who say this have no idea about our Upanishads or our Adwaitya knowledge.

I do not blame them either because every faith and belief in this world are coherent with Hinduism and will always be until it embraces hatred when it severs its ties with both Hinduism and Krishna.
