Diary- 4th to 6th Aug

 So, I went to Patna with Baba and clicked a bunch of photographs. Khana was badhiya and so was the Bihari nasta. Pantry car people served breakfast with two breads, one small bowl of butter, a ketchup packet and suji ka upma. I did not eat the upma, though, not delicious but ate the bread with the ketchup. Then they gave warm water with tea bags, sugar packets and a small packet of milk powder. Baba drank the tea though I don't think it was delicious at all. Haha. Then there was lunch with three rotis and some rice. There was mixed vegetable and a thick dal with tadka. There was also achaar and dahi. I ate the roti with the dal and the rice with the dahi. The mix veg was not delicious so I did not eat it. There was a man who was originally from Kolkata but had settled in Delhi. He was carrying a lot of small potted plants to plant on his terrace of his flat. He was going on about how West Bengal is such a backward state and Bihar is awful. He said that the people of Kolkata were too quarrelsome and hot headed so Delhi was far better. He lived in Noida, to be exact. Then he said that when the train passed through Bihar then people would come without ticket to even sleep in the sleeper coaches. He said that the third class ac was better. I told him that I come from Bihar as well because a lot of Bihari people were around and I did not want anyone to be offended. So he began to say that the Biharis are very talented people who become IAS and all that bluff. 

This man was funny. He could see his own daughter in me at one time and was detesting a young woman that I was at the same time. He said that he had maybe crashed into someone in the metro and the 'people' had insulted him a lot. I think the women had insulted him a lot. So, he kept calling me 'Madam' and 'apni' even when it was not needed and I had said so. But, when I spoke both fluent Hindi and Bengali, he smiled and said that his own daughter did not speak Bengali as she had grown up in Delhi. He wished she could speak the language too. 

The man also made a rude comment when the train just crossed Patna Sharif and someone had pulled the chain. He said that the Indians were better off and more disciplined under the Britishers' whip. The train did stop for sometime and I clicked a beautiful photo. 

No, my India is great and beautiful and I love the way she is. I don't like the British, though. 

And just look at this image, the doggie is sleeping peacefully under a rickshaw camouflaged by the earth. There is a Vishwakarma mandir to the left of this sleeping beauty. 

From the hotel window, I could see the flyover and at night, the silhouettes of people on that flyover was breathtaking. 

Then there is the friendship day. We the five Notre Dame best friends celebrated it virtually.

I formally forwarded this image to Neha of Royal Research (Ram Ram) and Mitul too. They only sent a non-chalant same to you. I heard that Mitul went to Delhi to train to become an air hostess. I heard that there will be confirmed placements and all, yes, not bad. She is very sad these days because the  boy she had dated for about a decade, well, they broke up. It was almost decided between the two families that their wedding would take place, The boy was a Bengali boy from Munger. He even tutored Sirisa on how to play guitar. 

By the way, Sirisha now has a pretty peacock feather tattooed permanently to her left wrist, looks amazing.

And, I responded with a friendship band. Only if I could be physically closer to them, I would surely have tied it to their wrists but it is the feelings that matter, after all.
