The background colors
I want to write a narrative evoking a lot of visual imagery. The readers will not as much read as they will see what the fiction is all about in their mind's eye. So, colors and their meanings will have a lot of role in determining the mood so that the readers can feel as if they were here.
When I say pink, it will also express what shade of pink. Because pink has a lot of shades and the meaning associated with every shade is different. Similarly for all colors. To specify green, it will be important to specify whether olive green or emerald green, etc. No color is to be treated as a bad color or a good color at an exclusive level. Every color will have different shades which can mean good or bad things in the narrative depending on the situation. The color will either go hand in hand with the situation or will strike as a contrast to the situation. In any manner, the color will add depth to the situation.

Can't Indian arts and western colors be integrated? Here is an image of Christmas.
I am Rose Forster and I notice everything in life as if cut out of a fairy tale picture book. The whole novel will be from Rose's point of view so specifying the colors is important.

Since it is Rose who tells the story, roses of different colors and roses of different colors combined together hold a lot of meaning. They occur in the background to show how Rose Forster has affected the lives of all people around her, even if she does not know them, her destiny is intertwined with them because she is a true heroine. Their destinies were intertwined with her even before she was born and will be even after she is no more. It is the effect that Rose Forster has on the people's lives and fully explores the role of heroism.

Since the intruders have covered the glorious land under a shield of winter, it is important to know what kind of snow or ice awaits us. There will be a full exploration of all kinds of snow sometimes making the same snowfall feel auspicious, sometimes making it romantic, and sometimes making it look foreboding. The Eskimos and their language and perception of snow will be my guiding angel in this.

This trilogy is an attempt to brush off the dust off the English language that it has gathered lately. Truth be told, I find the modern European culture like what Gandhiji expressed in Hind Swaraj. There is a very rich culture all over the world but the Europeans intervening to treat the whole world as if it were less than divine, let alone human, makes me uneasy. This trilogy is my attempt to reconnect with the real European culture that was, according to me, as much rooted in nature as any other beautiful culture in the world. Yeah, that hat-boot-coat-tie looks comical to me :) let alone too ugly or plain, too superficial, and too ignorant.

When we break down the real world into the building blocks of feelings then it becomes a fairy tale. When we break it down to the realm of the spirit then it becomes spirituality. I am going to break the world down into the level of feelings they evoke. Every story and movie and incident in my real life and history that has evoked strong emotions in me will serve as a good exercise to write fairy tales. I will begin with Lupin-Tonks fanfics. I have tried to understand Greek and Roman classics first because they are easier for me to grasp than my Sanskrit which is bound to arouse too strong spiritual sentiments in me as I am a devout Hindu, a proud daughter of Mother India.
