A story combining in a bunch of Lupin-Tonks fanfics to portray them in the real world
This narrative is my original but I have borrowed the plots from a bunch of Lupin-Tonks fanfics and thrown in my own perspectives too. So, what if Lupin and Tonks were real people? There are no werewolves in our world but that does not alter the intensity of love, does it? So, here I am trying to make the mundane real world look interesting with a normal couple.
Lupin was friends with Tonks' family because of Sirius. Sirius never went to Azkaban and Lupin grew up from a scholarly student to a professor of great learning and modesty. Tonks grew up from a feisty young girl to a petite young woman. Finally, at long last, they get married. What was it like over the years?
Lupin did not believe in having a lot of friends as time passed. Yes, he was friendly and polite but not much of a movie goer. He believes in the richness of friendship and courtship. His books are his best companions. He does not want to date a girl whom he is not serious about. And, let's face it, he does not like any girl that much. Both his school friends are boys and they are the best friends in his world.
So, it is James' wedding and Lupin, Sirius, and Tonks's family are invited too. Tonks is the flower girl. Lupin ends up teaching her how to dance and she ends up telling her mummy that she would marry the older man someday.
Lupin is Andromeda's favorite dinner guest because of his polite manners and learning. Sirius and Lupin even babysit a young Nymphadora. She has a crush on this responsible babysitter-completely original.
Lupin has joined Hogwarts as a Professor alongside Snape. Snape is bitter that the only girl he ever loved (rather desired and wanted all to himself) has now become the wife of his enemy, James. Snapes visits brothels, all he can feel is lust. And, most of all, he detests Lupin out of jealousy. How can Lupin be a student's favorite? Lupin teaches English and the classical languages and Snape teaches chemistry. Lupin is a student favorite and girls find him hot while Snape is his greasy thing wearing nothing but black as if he were attending his own funeral. Lupin's colors are grey, blue, and burgundy. He brings a radiant smile wherever he goes and Snape bullies the daylight out of his students.
So, when Nymphadora comes to the college and grows up to be fancied by the most handsome boys of her age, and all the girl can think of is Lupin's Greek alongside her punk rock songs, Snape is jealous. He wants to break them up because the bond of love between Lupin and the girl is enough to drive the Chemistry professor nuts.
Lupin often invites her over to his office and they spend a great time together as best mates. She did have a bunch of female friends but she likes the professor more than any other friend.
A big boy has pushed and forcefully kissed the Nymph, she arrives inside Lupin's office and breaks into tears. Lupin comforts her then she kisses him to see if she feels better. Lupin has obliged when she has initiated it. After that day, the feelings that both parties had been hiding have come to the fore. She tries to make Lupin make love to her, he has to deny because he is her professor and it is all so inappropriate.
So one day, the greasy git sees the two lovebirds together in the Greek professor's office and that is reason enough for him to tell the principal that they had sex. The principal believes Snape because he knows that Lupin has been fond of the girl for a long time.
When confronted by the Principal, Lupin takes all the blame on himself not wanting anything to happen to the Nymph. Dumbledore spares Lupin because he is a really good professor and leaves the girl's predicament in the hands of her parents. Andromeda takes her daughter away and forces her to complete her education in the distance mode. She blames Lupin for being so impressionable and having broken their trust and using her daughter in immoral ways. Lupin takes the blame not wanting his Nymph to suffer at this woman's hands.
When the Nymph is going back home, Snape says every foul word to her and Lupin shows up to stop the abuse. The matter is kept silent after this and the Principal also supports the matter to be closed and hushed up because he does not want to replace Lupin and cannot get the image of his institution tarnished either.
Finally, after six years, Lupin and the Nymph are still in love with each other though there has been no contact. And, this is when she starts a stable and good job and Sirius invites her over for dinner after work one day. He has also forced Lupin to join and when he reveals to the professor who his other dinner guest is going to be then Lupin is ready to leave with a farewell speech. The Nymph has been listening to his voice from the door and blocks his way out asking why he was leaving and where he would go.
She wraps herself around him and he dances around with her. All his doubts that maybe she had found someone else of her own age melted away. The couple enters into a conversation and confesses how much they have missed each other. He wants her and just her and she only wants him. So, they end up spending the night together and Sirius calls Andromeda to say that the girl would stay the night at his place.
The next morning the girl says that she wants to elope with him, she wanted the to get married to him the first thing that morning. He convinces her to at least tell her mother which she grudgingly accepts after much insistence of his behalf. Andromeda still thinks that Lupin has misused her daughter's youth and innocence and he wants to use her and throw her away, that he does not have any genuine feelings for her. The girl breaks up with her mother, takes her boyfriend, and leaves. Now they are living together.
Lupin has given her the engagement ring, he also wants to give her the wedding she deserves. Molly had coveted the 37 year old professor for her own 14 year old Ginny. He is teaching Ginny now so Molly asks Lupin if the rumours of his and Nymphs affairs were true. Lupin agrees and says that he had denied these allegations because he did not want to drag her name in the mud. What if after being separated from him, she fell for someone her age and wanted to marry him? Her reputation would be tarnished if the rumour got out so he had been denying it all along. But now that she is engaged to him and they are going to get married and everything, there is no reason to deny it. He accepts having loved her all along. Molly asks if he did not think of Ginny that way, he laughs it off because he thinks that Ginny is just a child. Molly is offended so he soothes her by saying that Ginny will find someone her age some day and make him very happy as his wife, but he belonged to the Nymph and the Nymph in return was his.
Now with the writing part:
Character names:
I have always seen Lupin as a man with good wolfish traits like the enchantimals. He is cute and adorable and a beautiful man with a little girl's soul and a manly heart. David means beloved and Prof. Fridolf is the beloved of Daphne in the story.
He is the villain or the bad professor. Brewery is related to chemistry so this name fits. Besides, the name has Troy which reminds me of Helen of Troy, a coveted beauty. This man too had loved his beautiful classmate who had since forever been destined to his rival.
Prof. Helios: The sun god for the Principal
It refers to the Principal as being the head of the institution like the sun is the head of the solar system. This old fashion name indicates that the Principal is limited and old but is energetic.
Emily Liberty: Rival
In the story, Daphne's mom will emerge as the number one rival in the love affair between Daphne and Fridolf.
Argus Liberty: Argus means vigilant guardian
The father of Daphne can be Argus a counterpart of Emily. He has been stopping Daphne from contacting the Professor for six years.
Mrs. Constance and Grace ConstanceMrs. Constance wants to set up her daughter, Grace, with Prof. Fridolf. But, Grace is only 15 and Prof. Fridolf is over 35 years of age.
Minor characters
Aldric Anderson: The cousin of Mrs. Liberty
Mundane world of ours will be portrayed in a fairytale background.
PLOT
Mr. and Mrs. Liberty had so many good friends and relatives. Mrs Liberty was a charming housewife and Mr Liberty was a pleasant persona. But, their daughter, Daphne, had a favorite guest. No, two favorite guests really. One of them was Aldric Anderson and another was his friend, David Fridolf. And, they were also her favorite babysitters.
Aldric was Daphne's mother's cousin and David was his friend. Young Daphne was not allowed to call adults by their names so she called Aldric as Cousin Aldric and David as Mr. Fridolf. Cousin Aldric would pet her a lot and Mr. Fridolf would tell her stories. His stories mostly were history or mythology or the classics. Mr. Fridolf found it amusing to tell stories to the little girl which served as a healthy distraction when she was asking for more sweets from Cousin Aldric. It was ironic because Mr. Fridolf himself was a chocolate addict and Cousin Aldric's addiction was cigars.
So, under the combined influence of her two responsible babysitters, she grew up to be a mischief lover like Cousin Aldric on the surface and a wise and mature girl deep down like Mr. Fridolf.
