How to draw a cactus for beginners? Blog 24

 Easy, simple cactus for beginners.


Want to doodle but tired of those old colourless doodles? Want to colour away but colouring the doodle turns out to be dull and uninspiring? Now this tutorial is for you. I am a complete beginner when it comes to art so don't worry a step by step tutorial follows although I think this painting looks too complicate for a beginner but it really isn't. Follow the blog and see how. 


This is the starting point. Two balloon like lobes. 


Now make more smaller lobes from that lobe. Do not worry too much but just relax and make your pencil move the way it wants to.


Take very light kind of green. And draw dots all over the body. 


Take one lighter and one deeper green and colour some part of a lobe with light and some part of a lobe with dark green. Do not overlap with the dots. 


Blend well. 




Now use the lightest yellow to highlight the dots and darker green to make outlines of the cactus. 

Easy isn't it. You know the only thing this demands is patience. But if you doodle a lot then you already have a lot of patience already  anyway.
