Beautiful scenery easy simple oil pastel nature garden scenery. blog 20
Want to draw cherry blossoms and a Japanese landscape? But do not want a too tough scenery to make? Are you a beginner who has just started to spend your leisure time and energy doing artwork? Well my blogs are just for you. Draw a satisfying scenery using oil pastels with my step by step guide.
In the right hand corner of the page draw a simple structure with pencil. I have used dark grey for the borders and light grey for the middle. Then I have drawn a land underneath using brown. I have used both light and dark brown.
Now draw the tree and its branches using brown. You do not have to draw exactly the same branches as I have drawn but make sure to relax and have fun. And you know what I never mention the exact shades of colours I use in blogs because after all it is your painting and I am here to make it easy for you. There are no right things and no wrong things in painting until you like what you create so just take a great care that you are creative and relaxed.
Now the thing is how to draw the cherry blossoms? We will not draw the exact flowers but take some rose pink or maroon and make these dots on both sides of the branches.
Around these dots colour with pink and simon pink. Now blend very well. That is important.
In the background draw some more tree trunks using browns and colour those cherry blossoms with a different colour like flesh tint or light orange or something. You may also get creative and use purple though I have never seen purple cherry blossoms but it is upto you because you know you are the artist of your painting, not me. I have used flesh tint. Use blue to colour the spaces in between and make some grass.
Now colour the water. Make horizontal lines with the colours you have used to make the cherry blossoms and use blue. Blend well. Your painting is complete.
I love to read your comments so let me know how the painting turned out to be. Did you like this tutorial? Click on art written below for more such tutorials.
