A flower vase has a very special significance in our lives. It is nothing more than just a container of a bunch of flowers plucked and arranged beautifully. But is it so? Ofcourse not. It is a way to express a feeling. A flower pot kept at the entrance of a building be it a home, hotel. restaurant or office imparts a cheerful feeling that welcomes wholeheartedly and makes the environment both pleasant and vibrant. It reminds you that you are a human with human feelings and no matter how busy you are working, you always have the time and desire to admire beauty. An image of a flower pot for wishing good morning is also commonplace in the social media. We cannot greet family and friends everyday and resort to these methods to express our emotions. It is a beautiful way. It expresses more than just a wish. It  portrays the infectiously cheerful feeling of the sender that infuses the day of the recipient with freshness and joy bordering on hope before the day really begins. 
A flower pot should be beautiful but no matter how beautiful, it never matches the beauty of flowers. So flowers are the main attraction. A flower pot without flowers is like a well dressed person without a smile. 


I made this adorable flower pot with flowers. Though the vase looks pretty, the flowers look more adorable and I thought I should share a tutorial with you. I painted the flowers in the vase in  pinkish shades but I have made the next flowers  in shades of violet. You may pick your own favourite colours because what follows is a step by step detailed tutorial of how to make these beauties. I have used violet, deep violet, light violet, rose pink and white to make these beauties. 


First we make the centres of the flowers. We mark this with round shapes using violet. 


Next we make the petals using violet again. Just move the pastel in spirals and little arcs. The flowers have outlines of petals. 


Colour using light violet. 


Next colour using rose pink. 


Blend very well. The colours blend into each other and leave dark and light regions. Highlight the light regions using white and the dark regions can be marked by broken lines in deep violet.


Make the leaves using two shades of green. Your beautiful bunch of flowers is ready.
